Veterinary professionals presented survey findings at Cornell University's Symposium on Artificial Intelligence in Veterinary Medicine showing that of the roughly 83% of respondents who said they were familiar with AI, nearly a third had already worked it into their daily or weekly workflow — a faster adoption curve than many expected from a profession that came to AI later than human medicine did.

That momentum is exactly why we keep shipping. Every few weeks, our engineering team rolls out updates designed to make HappyDoc faster, more reliable, and easier for your team to use — without adding more work to your plate. Here's a look at what we've built recently.

The Dashboard Is Back

Your in-product Dashboard has returned, giving you an at-a-glance view of your practice's time savings and activity. Just log in and click "Dashboard" to see it in action.

Call Capture Now Supports Extensions

If your phone system routes calls through specific extensions, HappyDoc can now dial through to reach the right line — one less workaround for your front desk team.

A Smarter Calendar for Growing Practices

We're currently testing a new calendar view built for practices with a large number of doctors and rooms. It scrolls by time, shows a clearer timeline of the day, and pairs with a cleaner timezone picker. If your practice is interested in trying it early, let your Customer Success contact know.

A New Home for Community Support

We've launched the HappyDoc Users Facebook Group, a space to ask questions, trade tips with other practices, request features, and post about non-urgent issues. It's part of our broader push to make support feel less like a ticket queue and more like a community of practices figuring out AI in veterinary medicine together.

Under the Hood: Reliability Improvements

Alongside new features, we fixed a long list of smaller issues that were creating friction, including appointment sync reliability, a few iOS app quirks (patient name placeholders, doctor filtering, recording saves), export errors in Cornerstone, and some rough edges in the document editor and login flow. None of these were flashy, but they add up to a smoother day-to-day experience. Here's the full list of those updates:

• Fixed an issue where appointments could intermittently go missing from the HappyDoc schedule
• Fixed a bug where new patients briefly showed as "Unnamed Patient" before their name appeared (iOS app)
• Fixed the doctor filter on the iOS app for practices with multiple doctors
• Fixed an issue where recordings could fail to save properly at the end of a visit (iOS app)
• Fixed the patient name field rejecting spaces, which was blocking last names from being entered correctly
• Fixed a silent error where chart PDFs weren't exporting for documents with longer names (Cornerstone)
• Fixed an error affecting exported field mappings
• Fixed buttons in the profile menu that were occasionally firing the wrong action
• Fixed a bug where the spacebar didn't register when editing document template titles
  
• Removed a confusing error message that appeared after logging out
• Added a smarter fallback so document generation keeps moving even during a slow connection
