HappyDoc UI/UX & Feature Updates: August 2026

A quick recap of some small updates made across both the HappyDoc iOS app and the browser experience.

iOS App Updates

As you probably know, we've been working super hard all spring and summer on improving our mobile companion iPhone app. The app is  intended to make recording on the go more convenient - it doesn't replace the full HappyDoc experience. However, we're working on increasing the app's capabilities.

We just released a new version with added features, which our CEO Emerson Smith has outlined in this video.

Here's a list of what's new in this release (v2.1.7):

• Search: find any patient or visit by patient or owner name, across all dates.
• Multiple clinics on one login, with clinic switching in Settings.
• Sync appointments from your practice management system on demand, in Settings.
• Your visit list marks the appointment happening now, with a tap to jump back to it.
• The On Device tab shows exactly where each recording is: uploading, transcribing, or finished.
• Fixed: a recording could generate two documents. Stalled uploads now recover on their own.
• Crash fixes and visual polish from your feedback.

HappyDoc Browser (Full Experience) Updates

New settings page: We rebuilt it so you can stop hunting for the thing you need. Same settings, better neighborhood.

Recycle bin moved to the top nav: It used to be buried, which is a rough place for a thing you usually need in a hurry. It's now right up top. Nothing in your bin moved or disappeared, just the door to it.
